It seems as if they've all forgotten how to play.
Clothes skin-tight. Make-up thick.
Jewelry bright. Hair just so.
My, oh my, where did the girls go?
I know it is quite tempting
to have people stare, wide-eyed.
They can't seem to stop themselves
once they have tried.
I want to shout and warn them,
"Don't you see, it's not that fun!
"The world will take your childhood,
if from it you don't run!"
I guess I'll just keep quiet for
I only am one voice.
I'll say a little prayer but
never make a noise.
If ever they should ask me
what I think or how I feel,
I'll say, "It is a pity,
"you were never girls for real."
